According to Dallas Business Journal, the 18th annual Best Places to Work Awards honored workplaces that value their employees like family, embrace their core culture, and have learned a whole new way of doing business during a pandemic.
Out of the 400 nominees, winners were selected based on an indexed score created via employee responses to a survey conducted by an independent third party, Quantum Workplace. The survey determines which organizations have the highest levels of employee engagement by measuring six key categories: team dynamics, trust in leadership, communication and resources, manager effectiveness, and personal engagement.
This year the award ceremony took place at Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth during a drive-in socially distanced celebration.
“We’ve been working remotely since March, and it was great to achieve this recognition with my amazing coworkers,” said Jefford Dixon, Sense Corp organizational change management lead. “Sense Corp has put its people first throughout this entire pandemic, and I’m honored to work for a company committed to providing a safe and supportive environment.”
Since working remotely, the company has instituted many new activities to help with employee engagement, including virtual game nights, virtual field trips where employees take a small group along on a virtual journey around a certain topic, virtual wellness programs, and a new mindfulness practice.
